Bernard, really looking forward to august 2009!
It would be charming to arrive at thursday evening and to leave on sunday morning, but arriving friday is also o.k. to me.
the best date for me would be august 13. to 16. or 6. to 9. but at any other date I will try to make it.
If it is before the 26th there is a big chance that my wife will come with me, otherwise I would have to come alone, again.

At this time, we ( Bernard and myself ) plan the gathering on :
21/22/23 AUG 2009 or 28/29/30 AUG 2009 around Brussels.

Have the dates been set in stone yet? I would prefer the August 21st week-end, because school starts a few days later and I will have to ether be back in the week of August 24th in Montreal or send my wife and daughter Danika back and that would make them miss Lagondafest 2009.... We would not want that.

Last information, before opening a dedicated website :
Gathering friday 21 august 2009 in the afternoon/evening.
22/08 :Visit of Brussels ( Atomium/Autoworld/Waterloo battlefield/Manneken pis/Market/Comics museum/Brewery House/Chocolate House... : that are some ideas but it's impossible to do everything ).
We've asked to visit the European Parliament, but it's impossible too ( friday only in the morning, not the week end ).
23/08 :Visit of Bruges (Venice of the North ), lunch and back to home.
Program subject to modification.

Those dates fit me perfectly.
So Brussels and Bruges is nice, but could we also do some place like Appeldorn, at the castle? It would be a perfect photo opportunity? or is it too far?
