We had a truly wonderful meeting in County Durham thanks to Keith's excellent organisation.
We met at the Aston Workshop in Beamish
We stayed at Lumley Castle
We visited Durham Cathedral
We visited the Tees Transporter Bridge in Middlesborough
We visited HMS Trincomalee in Hartlepool
We toured the North Pennine Dales & Moors
We ate, drank and danced (too much!)
We met the Phantom of the Lagonda!
We had the most spectacular firework and sound display.
The Lagonda of the Year plate was awarded to Keith Cornman
Final participation was:
7 Lagonda's
13049 - Roger & Nicole Ivett
13215 - Siem & Truida de Jong
13295 - Vincent Ameye & Francoise Vanderhaegen
13302 - Keith Cornman & Val Pearce
13380 - David Marks & Sue Hartley
13406 - Dimitri & Caroline Labis
13622 - Jane Weitzmann & Spike Hughes
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
13059 - Vrije Family
13365 - Rodney, John & Jack Howell
13397 - Robert Marks
13417 - Zoran, Priska, Carolina, Eva & Anna Mitrovic
13471 - Michael & Gina von Aretin
13515 - Olivier & Tchie Maingard
Sandra Dufetrelle & François Robin
Jen & Anthony Duke
Michael Pearce
Organiser Assistant - Michel Budd
Photographer(s) - Scott & Lorraine Wager
With commiserations to 13246 - Thomas & Heike Drechsler, who couldn't make it due to a breakdown in Germany.
No matter. 7 is a good number of cars and the 'people' present, with or without their Lagondas, make up the heart and soul of our Lagonda family.
Thanks & congratulations to Keith for making everything such a success. |

I would like to say a huge thank you to the very talented Venera Bojkova who played the harp so beautifully for us at our gala dinner. Her skill at playing this instrument with such expression & emotion was wonderful to hear.

Hi Siem & Truida
Here is that piece of advice you gave to me in September 2016. I hope we supplied enough to please you.
Op 28 sep. 2016 om 10:24 heeft Keith Cornman <keith.imprimus@btconnect.com> het volgende geschreven:
Hi Siem
As you probably know I have taken up the challenge to organise the Lagonda Festival for 2018. After your experiences in hosting a past event of this scale, are there any tips and advice you could offer to help me in this task?
Kind regards
Keith
Sufficiënt cakes maybe?
Will come back with a better answer later

Our very own British Pyrotechnic Supremo boss - Mr Clifford Stonestreet.
What a stunningly beautiful, artistic show he created for us. Superb!!
http://www.fullyfused.co.uk
Grateful thanks to the team of 10 who came and set up the show for us and to Martin Knight for sorting out the sound system for the display.
Special thanks to Tracey de Vere White & Cliff for all lighting in our Gala dining room.
I will let everyone have a copy of the video when it is ready.
(Dimitri & Caroline: Cliff also created the recent "Medway in Flames" display you saw. That video is on his website page) |
