hello , 13171 had a bad day friday
I noticed that the braking was becoming very weak over the last 24 hours and when checking under the hood, the second brake system (closest towards the servo) was empty. Thus i was using only one system (spongy feeling and not very quick to reduce speed) and loosing brake fluid somewhere. I called the garage and we agreed that i would drop in later that day after my meetings were over.
an hour later i was taking gas and when i wanted to drive away, the acceleratorpedal stuck
i had this one week ago and tought the thick wilson carpets were blocking the pedal, so i pulled them out and the car reacted normal again
this time however, the reason was different, nothing blocked the pedal and when looking under the hood , i saw nothing peculiar
i called the garage and was cleared for immediate entry
but how to get there?
I went into the petrolstation but they did not have a single piece of rope so i bought a pantyhose, tied it to my gaspedal and when depressing the pedal i pulled the pedal back with the pantyhose wound around my right hand
this way it was fairy easy to reach the garage. The fault was due to a gas tube (lpg) which was preventing the gascable to come back to its initial place. A plastic wireholder did the trick
the pantyhose is now a standard part of my toolkit |

And a pantyhose can also make a good belt for alternator or steering pump... _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! (FRONT 242)
