Good Morning Heike & Thomas
Val & I arrived home at 3am yesterday morning after a 1470 mile round trip and we would like to thank you both for hosting a great event for us all. The Rhinegau region is a really beautiful area of Germany to visit and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the events you arranged for us:-
The DB11 test drive was great fun as everyone’s road map that Aston Martin gave us was wrong so we each made up our own routes for our drive. The car is very easy to drive and surprising comfortable.
The Winery tour was very interesting where we learned all about how grapes are processed in different ways to create various wines and that red wine can also be white in colour.
The beautiful breakfast terrace at the hotel takes the prize for being the best place ever for one to scoff down one’s Cornflakes.
The drive through the beautiful Rhinegau region, cable car ride and the walk through the pretty village were all lovely, (and I STILL did not get my comb back from Loreley).
Being filmed by a German TV camera man hanging out the car window filming us all as we drove alongside the river was a hoot! I guess we all will now become famous TV personalities and will have to suffer being mobbed by lots of fans and sign autographs galore.
Thank you to everyone for being such great fun to be with. Val & I are very lucky people to know you all.
Special thanks to David Marks for all his efforts in sorting out all of the unexpected work load that arose in getting my car ready for this event. Very much appreciated.
May we take this opportunity to wish our friends who have sadly experienced poor health during the past year very speedy recoveries and we hope that the coming year will prove to be a much happier one for you.
Val & I look forward to welcoming you all, along with all our absent friends, to the United Kingdom in 2018 where we will try our very best to ensure you have an enjoyable time exploring some of our wonderful northern heritage.
Love to you all.
Val & Keith |
