Guys,
http://picasaweb.google.com/Francis200261/BuickInvicta#
On those pictures are my newly chromed lense frames for the front of the car. the Buick picture should not be there... I can't get it to go away...
disassembling them I accidently cracked one of the heated glass panels.
Puddleduck does not have any, AML also is out of stock, They promissed me that they would recreate them two months ago, but still nothing.
Does anyone have a spare one for sale for me to complete Alvira finally?

Francis,
A time after buying my car, I discovered the front of the car had been crashed( and also the right side near the A pillar ). The lenses of my car are now made of simple glass, without any problem. I'm afraid there won't be another possibility to fit heated glass at short or middle term ( is this fitment absolutely necessary ? ) except by finding second hand ones, but where ? _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! Julian of Puddleduck says he has been trying for a long time to find a supplier to remanufacture the heated glass for the Lagonda headlamps and that he has finally found someone who is prepared to do this. However the minimum order would be 30 @ £165 each ex vat. If he could get a few preorders he would be prepared to go ahead.
I understand AML ran out of stock some time ago and have not remanufactured.
Any interest? |

AML advise today
Headlamp covers 76-10800, we have secured a small quantity of original stock, they have slight creepage in the laminate but very usable, specially if the old ones are broken. The original supplier can make new but they are unable to supply them with the heating elements. |

Puddleduck inform me today that AML's price for the glass is going to be £362.85 each. |

Vincent posed the question are they really necessary?
Possibly not. A number of owners have replaced them with ordinary glass.
Some more questions
If original with heating element when do they come on, how do you know they are on, & how effective if at all are they?
What do you think? |

From the owner of 13085
I took them out and replaced them with toughened glass cut by a local
glass company. I only ever had one with the heating elements anyway. |

Julian
Can you please put me down for a pair of the heated front glass lenses for Lagonda 13302.
Thank you

Roos Engineering in Switzerland have these glasses with internal heating elements.
They cost the princely sum of CHF 868.- each, excl. VAT and shipping costs. |

Expensive regarding to the use...and necessity. Only for afficionados of 'real original cars'... _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! (FRONT 242)
