All of you know that Black Lightening is an excellent car! Everything works! Some things even don't stop working! Ha!
Well, today I took the car out of hibernation to be ready for next weekend to make some recognition for Lagondafest 2015! Of course the car behaved as it should, but then, the wipers started working on their own. When the engine was off they stopped, but only removing the fuse was the solution to really stop them.
Any hints where I should start looking? |

I think you have caught what I have. The doctor said it's called Lagonda ownership. There is no cure.
ps. David might give you a second opinion. |

The wiper delay works independently of the stalk. I suggest you remove the under-panel of the dash and disconnect it. If they still keep going, disconnect the wiper stalk connector. I expect it will be one of these.
Other than that, only drive it in the rain. |

I have no antibiotics against Lagonda-ownership, and had no time so far to dig in deeper into the problem.
So I did drive the car with the fuse for the wipers - and it is stated only for the wipers - taken out.
But then I noticed that the lights do not pop out. And in the afternoon I heard for the very first time in 12 years of ownership: "Wassertemperatur"! The car got hot!
So I arrived at my garage and noticed that the fans did not work!
Put the fuse - for the wipers only - back in: the wipers did not move anymore, the pop up lights worked and the fans, worked, too!
I love the character of this car! |
