Hi,
Yes, it is at our workshop:
The car suffered an accident overseas, I don't know the details.
I was contacted about the car and now have bought the salvage.
Sorry Dimitri, it is not for sale - I plan (hope) to repair it, in many ways it is not as bad as it looks. - It is too good a car to just write off and dismantle and once you consider the history and the unusual interior (only 002 is like it I think), it would be a real shame to do that to it.
There are a lot of differences, yes, the bumpers are steel - wondered who would notice the magnets! They look indistinguishable from the standard rubber ones.
The park brake is foot operated, like a RR, the door courtesy light switches are in a different position, likewise the aerial mast. There are no aluminium over covers to the 'D' posts.
The interior door handles are at the base of the doors, leaving the wood trim unbroken along the lengths. - Plus the obvious interior changes including the gear lever position.
There are a lot of new parts underneath, shocks, exhaust, manifolds, suspension bushes, rear discs, new alternator, starter motor etc. and the chassis is sound, mostly corrosion free and does not appear to be distorted.
I'm sure a lot more will be found once I get into it but a few other projects to finish first.
It drives well, no rattles or squeaks but there is a fair bit of wind noise....
