This should be an interesting event. Anyone fancy going?

Location: Burghley House, Stamford , Lincolnshire, PE9 3JY.
http://www.burghley.co.uk/
Date: Sunday 27th July 2014 entrance from 9.00am to approx. 4.30pm.

Description: A gathering of Aston Martins and their owners on the main lawns of this wonderful Stately Home.

Costs: Concessions have been made for entry to the House and Gardens. Admission to the grounds, £5.00 per car with a further charge of £6.35 per person for the House tour and visit to the gardens (normal entry charge £12.70 per person).

So what’s taking place? All Aston Martins will be displayed on the manicured lawns and owners will have the opportunity to have their car photographed in front of Burghley's famous Golden Gate.

There will be a charity raffle and a blind auction for some fantastic prizes with all proceeds going to charity (Cancer Research UK and MacMillan Cancer). There will also be various trade stands in attendance to capture your attention with a wealth of knowledge at hand to discuss any questions or upgrades regarding the marque in general.

Register your interest in attending the event here or contact Ed Cunningham directly by e-mail edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com - alternatively the Pistonheads Aston Martin forum has details under the Burghley House Event.

There are already over 150 Astons registered and it promises to be a wonderful gathering so get your name on the list now!

I propose to go if I can.

Hi,

I'll hopefully make it too - it sounds like a nice day out.

It's just down the road for me too!

Hi all,

My first post over here but firstly thanks to Roger for giving Burghley a shout
out which is very much appreciated.

The event is coming together nicely and I would like to encourage as many of you along as possible for this new event this season.

There will be plenty to see and do and thats before you've admired the 100's of cars that will be on display,I have support from several companies who will be coming along to show case themselves and the services, this added to our charity raffle and auction will make for an interesting day.

The House and Grounds of Burghley are lovely and are well worth the visit let alone the cars,Burghey have made concessions on entry for those that choose to have a poke about as a slight distraction from the cars the price will be 2 for the price of 1.

The event its self has no hidden costs as all I shall ask for is £5.00 to park and display your pride and joy, this in its entirety goes directly to Burghley
Estates for the up keep of the property.

So as you can see once your there its a very inexpensive day out,we shall be having the raffle etc about 2.30pm with loads of goodies to bid for or be won, such things as a full days enhancement by Emerald Detailing is one item
to go under the hammer whilst another donation to bid for is a full annual service on any Aston Martin which has been kindly given by McGurk Performance Cars.

I won't bore you with all the donations and prizes at this stage other than to say there's plenty to show an interest in with all the proceeds going to our
choosen Charities for the event which are The MacMillan Organisation and
Cancer Research UK both of whom will be on hand supporting the day.

I've got many irons in many fires so I can assure you that it will be an interesting and fun day for all those that choose to attend.

Hopefully many of you will join me at Burghley on Sunday 27th of July for a thoroughly enjoyable day in the park.

I'll, with Rogers permission keep you updated of things as we move ever closer to D Day.

If any one has any questions please feel free to drop me a mail as I will be pleased to assist in any way I can.

edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

Thanks every one and I look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to Burghley so please let me know if you can make it so that I can register you on my attendance list.

Cheers,

Ed.

The organisers are still looking for more cars (AMs & Lagondas) for this event. I think the current expected number is about 180.
