First pit-stop this morning for the 'UK-branch ' Lagonda owners in Tournai at my office, with coffee and croissants. I wish them a nice trip and a great event to all owners.
Sadly I couldn't join this year
But I promise to be there next year, with a 'Imperial Blue' RHD car ! _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! (FRONT 242)

I guess we are all still very tired, that's why nobody has posted a full report yet.
For my part I have the "Lagonda-blues".
Luckily we do a mini meet in Switzerland today:
Keith and Val
Arthur and Petra
Francis, Lise and Danika
Me and Priska, Anna, Karolina and Eva |

The initial shock has subsided.
For me personally the trip was somewhat disappointing as my car was not able to take part in Salzburg due to some faults, but that is no criticism of the event, organisation and programme, far from it, as all of these were excellent. Michael and Gina did a great job!
It started badly for me when I damaged my front bumper/corner (self- inflicted) before even leaving England.
The four English cars left via the Tunnel on Thursday 23rd and we met up with Dimitri at Vincent's place in Tournai, Belgium for breakfast. Dimitri then led the group via the Mosel to our first stop a very fine 'castle' hotel above Oberwesel. My car encountered its first problems just as we arrived in Oberwesel. The next day we motored on to a very enjoyable Lagonda reception at Michael's fabulous house in Vagen before convoying to the hotel near Salzburg. It was great to see all of our Lagonda friends again. The company and functions were wonderful! Heros of the hour were David Marks & Arthur Sutsch who freely gave their time to help with my, Keith's and others car(s). Nicole & I travelled back in David & Robert's car on the Monday & Tuesday. I left my car with Michael's mechanic in Germany and it will be transported back to the UK shortly.
Sorry to sound such a sad note. I leave it to others to post something more positive!
Next year in England! |
