A little update, the headlights are back ! I had to change one lift motor and one of the latching relay. Now, I need to find how to fix the spot and front fog lamps !

Meanwhile, I had a look at my rear wings and was pretty happy to discover these were good under the cover !

Last week, I bought in UK a new set of wheels

So it will look like this

And I've also got these picnic tables

The rear is now finished, thanks to Vincent's help I should go faster for the front !

New front lens

New wheels are on

The new original badges on Jaguar chrome rings

To let you imagine the amount of work for each part...

The result

Other thing, I have found an original (and complete) tool box coming from a 1989 car

Great work Arnaud Very Happy

That leather in the back looks excellent, and a great colour too. What products did you use to bring it back to this? (other than many hours of hard work!).

I think Aston Martin is able to sell you an original one that will fit in your car but you'll have to pay the price, I would say around £1000 minimum...

Or you have this one from Puddleduck very close to the original one

http://www.puddleduck.uk.com/shop/vclose1.asp?prd=11252&cat=1430000042

The product I use is from a company called "Les anciens Ebenistes"

They don't have a huge range of color so you have to do your own
Here is a black one http://www.leroymerlin.fr/mpng2-front/pre?idLSPub=1160570030&renderall=on&zone=zonecatalogue#17

And the fixative (is it the good translation for Fixateur ? I'm not sure)

http://www.leroymerlin.fr/mpng2-front/pre?idLSPub=1160570030&renderall=on&zone=zonecatalogue#0

You have all the products on this page, sorry that's in french...

http://www.leroymerlin.fr/mpng2-front/pre?idLSPub=1160570030&renderall=on&zone=zonecatalogue#

I already used this one on my XJS and my 911, it works well and last for years ! But you have different companies in the UK selling that kind of product !

No need to say that you will need a lot of bottles to do a complete car...And to thoroughly clean the leather before so, in my case, take away all the body paint on it...But hours are forgotten when you see the result Wink

http://site.astonmartin.com/content/allsites/documents/Lagonda%20tool%20kit_47803d5f-dbc7-4209-84f6-fa4a9aba32a4.pdf

Actually around £640.- which incudes the VAT. Laughing

But note with these:-

It appears that the slot next to the fuses was occupied by a small plastic ‘fuse puller’. The original type is no longer available, but AML are trying to find a new source for it.
The another empty space was made for a spare bulb. For some reason an H2 bulb was on the original contents list but has since been deleted. By the time this bulb was removed from the list the foam pads had been produced for AML.

It is also important to point out that the contents of the kit were changed by AML when the part number was re-introduced. Some of the smaller, less important items, had become completely unobtainable over the years – so these were deleted from the contents. Some additional items were included and slots to locate and protect the bulbs were incorporated as an improvement.

AML toolcase update

Fuse pullers have now been obtained.

(for info – the ‘new’ fuse pullers are yellow, rather than red. For some reason they can’t get red ones anymore!)
