Sandra has been awarded 'The Chairman’s Award for 2011' by AMOC for her organisation of the Dinard event and for her promotion of our Lagondas. I understand she will collect this award at the Annual Prize Giving at The Barn on Saturday 28th January 2012.
Space at the actual prize giving is limited but we might celebrate and overnight nearby later at a Lagonda minimeet. Let me know if you are interested.

We know she deserves every bit of it!
Congratulations!
You know Roger that I would love to have a mini meet, even without the cars.
I would love to join. Please could you tell me how could I get there from London city airport and is there any hotel nearby?
I could try to make it on friday evening and to fly out on sunday.

I believe Roger is currently looking for a suitable hotel in the local area so watch this space.
Zoran - Val & I can easily pick you up from an airport or train station so once more details are known we will sort something out. |

Thank you Keith!
What would be better, London city or Heathrow? |

Hi Zoran
We live to the east of London so London City Airport is the closer of the two. However, if you fly in to the UK on the Saturday morning then picking you up from Heathrow would be more convenient for the road links going up to Oxford. |

Those wishing to try to go to the Prize-Giving itself and I have indicated spaces are limited may first put themselves on a reserve list @£40 per head. Contact Mark Aylott on 01865 400400 Ext. 21 or email secretary@amoc.org.
Timetable:
11.30 Champagne reception
12.00 Lunch
1.15 Award Presentation (to 3.30?)
or you may instead prefer to meet up later at the chosen hotel of which more later.

Huzzah! We now have a venue and accommodation for the Saturday evening. The White Hart Hotel located in the attractive village of Dorchester-upon-Thames, which is a simple, reasonable & unsophisticated coaching inn with adequate parking not far from the AMOC Barn.

I have booked a number of rooms. Doubles and singles with full English breakfast are £105 per night. I understand they may have a few with 4 poster beds, executive doubles and suites at additional cost. Let me know if this is what you want and I will enquire as to availability and cost.
Otherwise, unless you have already booked direct, please confirm you will be attending the meeting and I will allocate the rooms I have booked.
The menus for January have not yet been decided but we can discuss that later.

I omitted to mention that the car park is directly behind the White
Hart Hotel in Dorchester.
I warmed up my Lagonda last night.
Don't worry about the weather. Sunshine is coming in from France.
