Sadly right up until the last moment and after a lot of work J-C's car had a brake problem so could not come.

Hello from the great white north,
Just to let everybody know, Alvira made it home Monday night. Everything is ok with her, except that she was in transit for 30 days... Today I gave her a full once over. Cleaned her up as some salt water stains were present.
Some minor scuffs on the bumper and a dead battery is all she suffered.

It is 14:00 in Montreal on October 5th and I just took these pictures. The VEA Sticker is the Montreal based club Voitures Européennes Anciennes. Alvira will be featured at the monthly meet that is held tonight. That's why I spend the morning washing and waxing her by hand.

PS one last thing, look at the leaves' reflection on the second to last picture. That is a brilliant paint job! Thanks Vincent.

Guys,
As Rodney is in Montreal this week for a seminar, we agreed to meet on Saturday October 15th. I will pick him up at his hotel (with Alvira) and have him come to my place where we will drink a bottle of that wonderfull Champagne the Dufetrelle served us in Dinard. Jean-Claude was kind enough to give one of the left over bottles just a I was leaving Dinard. It travelled inside Alvira's booth on her way back home.
Since this bottle was destined to be driken in a Lagondafest setting, this is the occasion to open it!
I will, at the same time show Rodney the pictures from the fest.
BTW anybody got a copy of the pictures the professional photographer made during the fest?

Two bearings and two seals later, 13295 went back on the road this afternoon. But the brakes and the air conditioning are almost inoperative...
