Hello!

unfortunately I am experiencing some problems with the clock.
It is constantly running too fast.
I assume that it is due to the fact that circuit board with the "CLOCK" push button on the left of the steering wheel became a little billowy.
Does any one have a picture showing only the circuit board?
It must be a thin board that is glued on the dashboard.

It would be great if anyone could help.

Hi,

How fast do you mean?

If it is going round at a very high speed as if the button is being pressed, then it will most likely either be the button that is still making contact or there is a problem on the main instrument pack circuit board.

These touch pad buttons are simply contacts that make and break when touched I think JonC posted a picture of the under side of his on the Forum and you can work out the circuit from there.

You need to identify the connections to that button and see if they are open or closed line in the natural state - if the former, the fault is elsewhere and if the latter it is the touch pad.

If you can't t find any any suitable details, contact me through the e-mail section of the forum and I'll see if I can dig up some pictures

Unfortunately the photo shows the right binnacle and on my car the clock button is on the left.

I agree with David, with one other comment - if the clock is constantly spinning (like the set button is being pressed) then just disconnect the binnacle connector. This will tell you if its the button.

On my car, the left binnacle controls have been replaced with a membrane button set - its a laminate which is unlikely to come apart. I haven't needed to map the circuit diagram for this one but it is likely to have a common wire for each group of switches. My guess is that there will be two commons - one for the four light switches, and one for the six dash controls.

The circuit board with the "CLOCK" ans "SET" push buttons on the left of the steering wheel became a little billowy.
My electrician took off the thin board that is glued on the dashboard
straightened and repaired it and fixed it again so that now it is working again.
