Has anyone changed out their Weber Carbs for the later EFI System? I have an '84 (13346) and am considering making the change.

Thank You,

Scott

An interesting upgrade I thought to apply on mine...
A similar thing was made on a early DBS V8 and I have to check who made it and how much it costs...

Hi,

I think you'll find that the picture is of the Bosch mechanical fuel injection fitted to earlier DBS V8 engines and you don't want to go that route...................

The later EFI engines (585 series) are quite different, the cylinder head and timing case designs, coupled with the camshaft covers were all changed.

The only way you will easily fit Webber Marreli fuel injection would be to source another engine plus all the injection equipment - expensive I think and finding an ECU may be tricky.

It will be simpler to get replacement throttle bodies for the Webbers and fit an after market engine management system but these are also not cheap.

It is something I would like to do as well but 13380 is still consuming money at a considerable rate - headlining next................

David
