The latest issue of Octane magazine has a feature about 4 doors Aston Martins to coincide with the launch of the Aston Martin Rapide. The article covers the original Lagonda Rapide, the Lagonda serie 1 (AM V8 four doors) and our beloved wedge, of which a blue example with body kit is featured. I haven't bought the mag yet but saw it in the shops today.

I bought the mag today... A couple of inaccuracies in the article. In particular, quoted performance figure 0-60mph in 5.4s... Any of your cars can manage this ? I doubt it.

Is this car an original Tickford car, or aftermarket?

I'm not sure Zoran but it has been in the same ownership since new. Car spends a lot of time at WS (is almost garaged there) and owner lives not so far away. I'll ask him.

Chassis 13.047 have been built during the year 1980.

All original documents and advertisings that I have, coming from Aston Martin Tickford Ltd based at this time in Milton Keynes are dated October 12, 1983 for the Motorfair London's motor show which have open on October 20, 1983. where the car have been presented for the first time.

Consequently, all cars presented as "Tickford car" with body kit issued before this date are only conversions made by the owner after purchase of a normal car and cannot be considered as original Tickford car.
