hello..
i have lool 13219 here in sweden..right now undergoing major renovation..hopefully will be ready this winter...
my car was origionally with rear windows that did not have the possibility to go up and down..
but now i have located rear window mechanism with windows and all..
so my question is--- is there any difference in the door itself ??
do i have to buy the matching door also or can i just buy mechanism, glass and electrical engine ??
all help appreciated..
regards jonas

Hello,

The doors are same ( a good point ) but you have to adapt the wiring ( buy the wiring with the parts if possible !). The knobs ( if you can, buy them too because they are out of stock-FORD ESCORT 80-86) take place on the rear facia of the central console and near the gearbox command in the front.
Francis did it with success on 13207...

hi and thanx....
i will write to francis for help and tips...
atleast the doors being the same makes the expense lower...
when you mention knobs i suppose you mean the black knob that goes up and down from a small hole on inside of door ???? if this is identical from escort then i can take that easier from junk yard where escorts are commonly parked.. as for the wiring thats a good tip...i will try and get that as well..does wiring go from inside of door all the way to electrical control next to gear shifter ??
and is it one wiring per door or are they connected ??
if anything else comes to mind then please write..
thanx Smile

Knobs = buttons you push on up and down to move the window...
Make follow the window wiring with the central door locking wiring; some relays will be necessary, but please ask Francis for more ( my car was fitted...). You may also only put the knobs on the rear door panels, but that is not 'genuine'...As induction wiring didn't exist in the Lagonda, I'd say one wiring per door is necessary...
Send me 2 knobs if you find them ! Thanx. Mr. Green

Hi,

You need the glass ( in two parts ), the frame and also the door rubber, the motors, the wiring, knobs, relays and some hours of work...
