13536
161207 car reached USD 4070 below the reserve.
181207 still on sale in NY but not sure of final price. Being sold only for parts.
Ex Florida. Original engine sold in 2005 to Canada after which Chevy block put in in FL.
Owner in FL informed me that car was 'completely destroyed in a garage fire' 161204. |

13467
Destroyed by fire in FL at end of 2005. Engine & tranny OK
Early 2007 for sale in LA reached USD 5625. Later in year sold for USD 5500 when Mr Santos in NY bought it. I think he thought he could marry the 2. |

As I wrote in a previous post, I read on eBay that 13536 had suffered badly from smoke damage in a paintshop/garage fire.
- As far as I know toxic smoke can cause severe damage to aluminium...... That could explain why the owner said it was "completely destroyed" - and possibly the cheap spray over to cover up the damage ?

So essentially the gray car may have body panels behond salvation and the body panels of 13456 could have been used even if it was in a major fire also.. or so ws the thinking of the first purchaser of those two together..
Burned cars are always a bag of surprises... So those two could be used as donner cars but for other projects...

C'est ce que je me tue à dire depuis le début !!!
That's what I say since the opening of this topic.
Smoke attacks the electrical wirings and components too, some plastics turn into dust after several years...And at this time, we don't know how are the sills...like on every Aston of these years.
And that may reserve his lot of surprises ( Not right, Keith ?) _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! (FRONT 242)

Lending credence to the motto "If at first you don't succeed..."
In the registry of this site, both of these cars were listed as destroyed by fire. So clearly, the owner removed the GM driveline as it was the only clearly valuable part of these cars.
what a pity and a complete waste of two timeless classics... _________________ best regards from Boston,

...But still good for parts, some of which are very hard to find, like a fog and driving light front glass lens (With defog incorporated)...AML is out of them and will have an outside supplier re mfgr the 12'' X 4'' glass panel for a measley $1000.-... The pop-up lights motors I could use for Alvira...I also would like to take the Lagonda badges from the gas tank lids...
