I have used the Eurotunnel several times.
Everythings is very well explained and marked. There are lanes with cabins like for paying the mault on a highway and there are lanes with automats for those who have reserved in advance. If you have reserved in advance and are ahead of the time, sometimes they ask you ( the automats, too ) whether you would like to take an earlier train. After you have got the ticket you just follow the lanes, and then you could park around a building with several entrances which has several restaurants, shops and information and ticket centers. After this you just leave along the lanes with your letter for boarding.
The boarding is about 20 minutes before the train leaves ( if I remember right, but I am not sure ) and the ride takes about 40 minutes and you are in Calais!
Enjoy!

Hi Folks
Can you let me know what the precedure is now for reserving the rooms?
Do we go to the hotels direct to book stating that we are part of the Lagonda group or have you already allocated the rooms out to the group members already? If so, to whom do we send our money too?

Keith,
My understanding is, like in previous years, that the organisers (Vincent/Bernard) have reserved an allocation @ hotels/restaurants etc. and that we will pay them when they ask. This is what we are now waiting for. In addition not everybody who is or might be going reads this or the AMOC forum and will have to be invited (again) separately after all the information is available.
No doubt Vincent/Bernard will be in touch soon & activate their website.

I have asked the same question to Vincent and Bernard, and it seems to be like every year.
The organisers have reserved the rooms with us and we need to tell Bernard what rooms we require.
And yes, I am worried that the owners who are not on these forums are not aware and they should be invited again with all details.

TO ALL
though we had a rough time (medical problems for bothVincent and myself) we have now the hotels secured, the activities and the restaurants for the whole of the event. Aston Martin belgium is supplying technical assistance during the whole event.Due to the touristic character of the cities the hotels are not the cheapest but they offer a very good price/quality. The hotel for the first night is the Chateau du Lac in Genval, close to Brussels. In Bruges you have the choice between The Tuileries or if you want to have a cheaper alternative (100 euro less) the Martins Hotel Bruges. You can have a look at www.hoteltuilerien.com ; www.martinshotels.com ; The cars will always be secured . We have booked the rooms and will send you the inscription details . Just let us know how many rooms you need and how many persons will be coming. Price will be (for the whole event ) approx 650 euro for one person and 880 for 2 persons. If you opt for the cheaper hotel you can deduct 100 euro of the price. A fully detailed programme and the account the amounts have to be transferred to will be send to you next week. Roger, can you forward it to all the members of the club? Looking forward welcoming you all. |

Glad to hear the news.
But Bernard and Vincent, be aware that many interested owners are not on this forum!
And even worse, some of them do not use Email.
I guess they should be noticed, too, about the event.

Wonderfull!
At last we can build on concrete plans! (for us from Canada).
A couple of questions:
In Brugges the Martin's Group has 2 hotels, which one is it?
Martin's Brugges or Martin's Orangerie?
One other thing, in your pricing of 650 euros, do you include everything like museum lodging and food etc...?
I plan on comming with my wife Lise ad my 11 years old daughter Danika. Do you have the possibility of getting rooms with a cot or a hide-a-bed for Danika?

Hi Bernard & Vincent
Can you please let me know what rooms are available.
For the Chateau du Lac we would ideally like one of the Great rooms with a double bed and a lake view.
For the Brugge hotel are we all making our own choice for which hotel and, in effect, splitting the group up for that last night?
