Guys,
I am back at looking at tthe problem I have with my heating/venting system.
I just got new tubing, it's realy cheap! $3.00 per 60 inches section.
So I started at the valve in the engine bay and replaced the tube to all the way to the inside unit that dispatches all tubes.
Where can I find a diagram of the way this dispatch unit is tubed?
I think that my problem may be there.
I plan on changing all old tubes, but I am sure that some of the dispatch receptacles that are not receiving a tube and that are not capped should be addressed. Without a diagram, I am f***ed! (translation: lost in a maze of tubes!)
Francis

Guys,
My camera was damage in the Dominican Republic last week when Lise got cought on a Catamaran in a rain storm....
So yesterday I went and got a new one, a Lumix from Panasonic and I took some pictures or the tubes, where they originate ( the round unit with the tubes numbered) and next to it, in the back, under the steering wheel well, the receptacles of those tubes were I have some disconnected tubes.

Do you have by chance pics that show what parts of the interior one has to take off and how this works in order to exchange the tubes?

Look on the Forum under "owners cars" and 13049 (Roger's car) and you will see some pictures at the bottom which show the fascia stripped out and this is pretty much what you need to do - even the centre console requires displacing at least to allow the passenger side trim to be dismantled (assuming screws behind centre console are still in place, of course!)
Don't forget the vacuum pipe in the engine bay going to the system, passing through the bulkhead and the other pipe that goes from inside the car, back out to the water heater valve.
Finally, not all the pipes go from one of the manifold blocks to the other, there are three or four vacuum solenoids in the system as well as the actuators by the fan and also the demist and footwell vents etc.
Best of luck

Host it elsewhere, say with Photobucket, then add the link (provided) here on the forum. |

Thanks!
Having found out that the ventilation does not work due to an electrical part I would like to ask if you can tell me what this part is there for.
Under the dashboard there is the ventilation control.
I dismantled it and found out that there is one part (fuse or resistor) damaged.
You can see the thing up left on the picture.
It is the thing with the two cables.
Can anyone help with information?

Hi,
This is the in-car temperature switch - NOT to be confused with the in-car temp sensor.
The function of this device is to close a contact above 27 degrees C and allow the A/C to start functioning immediately.
The in-car temp sensor provides a signal of cabin air temperautre , primarily used when the system is on auto.
This A/C temp sensor is the small device at the top of the pasenger side facia wood, just under the crash roll (on digital dash cars), or, on CRT cars, located on the passenger side 'A' post about half way up the height of the wood trim.
The cabin temp sensor for the LED dashboard cabin temp display is the larger device screwed into a socket pointed towards the blower motor, again, mounted on the passenger side.
Hope this helps, it is a complex system, unfortunately.

Hello David,
thanks for the information!
Great!
But Aston Martin does not offer the part.
Where can I get such a part? Does anybody know?

Are you sure it is not working?
It is open circuit below 27 degrees centigrade (or thereabouts) so will only change to closed circuit above this temperature - I suggest that you check this first.
Otherwise, no idea where to get a spare as such but you could just investigate temperature controlled switching on Google and see what options come up.
