Happy New Year to you all!

I am now at a critical stage of my reconstruction of Alvira and I need your help to recreate an essential part of the car. And I have named: the Toggle Leather straps!

I will need your help by sending me pictures of the said Leather Toggle.

When Alvira came to me she possessed two of those four straps and for some reasons I couldn't control, they were gone at time of delivery. I remember how they looked but I would like to have your help in giving me some pictures of the toggles and possibly the measurements.

Here are some pictures of the positioning of the straps. They are at the end of the sunroof shades and at the end of the rear window sunshades or sunscreens, which ever way you choose to call them. I never saw the rear window toggles and I assume they were the same as the sunroof ones. Can anyone confirm?

Since my last posting, I went ahead and used some of the leather left over and made some toggles that I installed.

Check the before and after pictures. Let me know if they look right.

In the middle of those pictures, you will find pictures of an other pet project of mine that I finally finished. The recreation of a leather tool case.

I used a plastic tool kit, one with 88 tools (A lot more then the original one) made by Jobmate ($60.00) a standard first aid kit ($20.00) and a leather briefcase ($100.00) that I decorated with used Lagonda badges that I had.

I like the look and I hope that I will never have to open it...

I think both look excellent Francis. I have to do my own toolcase as the original foam inserts have perished. I have new foam. I have the scalpel. I just have to find the will.
