I think it would be an interesting exercise to record and recognise the engine builders involved with our cars.
Please let me know the names from the plaques on your engines.

I am not sure if Julian & Jane at Puddleduck are aware of what you are doing or if an e-mail they sent to me today is just pure coincidence but Lagonda 13302 is now at the stage of restoration where she is going to be re-sprayed soon and they have given me a little present, (well actually it is from Dyson, their dog, but that's another story). They have installed an engine plaque stating the name of the guy who built it back in 1984.

So I can now reveal that Ron Russell was the man who created the power source of 13302.

Missing plaques can be ordered through the dealer network in the UK for about £25. Any problems ask Aston Martin Heritage Operations on amh@astonmartin.com

Hi everybody,

I'm French, new here, but I have some knowledge about the wedge Lagonda.

- Engine builders plaques:
13232 - I don't remember, now sold.
13283: Series 2 - 1 of 4 Tickford LWB - Frank Matthews
13419: Series 2 - ex Omar Bongo - Don Osborne
13512: Series 3 - Ron Russell
These 3 cars are with me since 1995

- I will be interested to have the following informations:

* How many LHD/RHD cars for each series 2,3,4.
(available from the 24 pages of the register with chassis Nbr, but an important job, somebody have do it ?)

* And for LHD cars territories of export with quantities when cars sold new.

Roger have nothing to fear, it is not in my intention to write a book on the wedge Lagonda!

If somebody have some history, documents or informations on 13283 Tickford LWB, don't hesitate to contact me.

Jean-Pierre
