Has anyone attempted a repair of their window regulators? The cable on my driver's side window regulator became frayed and the strands jammed in the mechanism. No real damage but I've got to find away to replace the cable, short of replacing the entire window operator (regulator) unit. Used units are available (Puddleduck), but I'm likely to end up with a part no better than the one I've got. Finding braided stainless steel wire is not the problem but finding and attaching the "lugs" to the wire is...
Any suggestions??
Also I recently designed and had fabricated lower exhaust manifold sections to replace the catalytic converters (that would toast my shoes in the footwell!). I'd like to share the photos of the replacement parts (beautiful fabrication work!) to perhaps assist someone with the same problem, but I don't know how to embed the photos in the post. Sorry for the ignorance, but some guidance is needed.
Thanks to all... _________________ Living on the [w]edge... |
