I had the idea of once building "this Lagonda shooting brake for some
10 years but never came to it
Last year I thought it's time, so out came the side grinder and 059 ,
which I owned for some 12 years ,got cut
Firstly at casual pace but from Jan this year at full throttle (deadline being
the benelux minimeeting / taking up to over 40 hours a week after daily work) getting extra support and food from Margie!!(must be the next co-driver/ms lagonda
Have to fill in the little this and thats but phisically made it in time.
Wanted to have a clean "as Bill Towns would done it" look and function
only limited to some dimentions of donor parts as roof and tail glass.
Take a look for yourself, when finished whole set of pics wil be "picasa-ed"

This is really amazing! There are at least one other shooting brake of which I am aware, but it lacks the thoroughly modern panorama roof panel that yours has. Have yo had to make any changes under the car, or are the changes solely top-side?

Dan,
Basically the panorama is there because of this fact.
"Lagonda's have a rear roof glass panel "
First idea was to put 2 in (one in the middle of a wayyyy long roof
looks a bit silly) .
When I sold one of my spares to David the dime started to roll as we say.
It is a donor part, from who? that's the cool questionl
And no , no additional strenghtening as it is still an undisturbed box section.

Hi Harry
I hear you loud and clear there! Still, your implementation of that glass panel is really impressive. Lately, a lot of car manufacturers are doing Pano-roofs, and they definitely work to make interiors feeling more airy.
Equally so, and I just noticed this, is just how authentic you are to the original design. Namely, it appears you re-used the C-pillars as D-pillars, moving the backlight with them, and used fixed door windows as the far rear windows. Am I right to assume that the c-pillars were originally B-pillars?
Can't wait to see what you do with the interior...

Yo Dan, close but not entirely correct.
The "D" is not the old one but it uses the fuel flap and back compartment
of it. see pic as it is a little longer.
Rear side glass is custom made for me after a cardboard template for measurement and a piece of wood for it's curve setting me back $ 200 a piece
And have the rear door surround de-radiused to follow the straight line gutter
Greetzz from clog country
