Tim
I think this original pic which appears in newspapers at the time is the one.
Where did you get the black notion from?
The factory seem to have used both plates on different cars so maybe the register is wrong? |

Hello Tim!
Thanks for posting the link to the picture!
- In the unidentified / unknown section of the gallery there are some pictures of a green Lagonda with black interior and reg. no. "VNK352S":
http://www.vassard.dk/lagonda/unknown/094.html
In the gallery pictures of a red lagonda with interior similar to the picture Tim just posted (and reg. no. "AML1") is featured for both 13002 & 13008:
http://www.vassard.dk/lagonda/gallery/13002.html
http://www.vassard.dk/lagonda/gallery/13008.html
I now believe that it could be the same red car in all 3 pictures ? But which VIN ?
The later pictures of both 13002 & 13008 shows a black interior.
Best regards,
Soren

I got the black from AML sources - but I now realise that AML update the colour specs on their system when they change
I have decided that VNK352S is a typo - just to check, we all agree that he Tavistock car is 13008 _________________ Registrar of Cars, AMHT |

The red car pictured as 13002, 1AML - cannot be 13008 - which I agree did display AML1
On 13008, the instrument pod is high, the red car on 13002 is in-line with the rest of the dash.
On 13008 and the unknown green car, both have high dash pod and body coloured air dams
The green car - my best guess is 13006 - but this is only a guess at this stage _________________ Registrar of Cars, AMHT |

I've had a word with Roo and he thinks the green car is 13006 - the Javelina car.
If you look at the picture of it on the magazine cover, it does appear to have some stuff on the dash.
As this stage, I'm provisionally going to say it is 13006 in the register but I hope that there are some more pictures in the Stowers archive. I've also checked the DVLA database - both reg numbers checked out as being on Ford Escorts - very odd _________________ Registrar of Cars, AMHT |
