Hi everybody,

First of all, I would like to congrat you for all the informations in the forum and the website.
I'm living in France and bought last week 13280, I will bring it back home next week.
No need to say it is in a really poor condition...That's not my first car restoration so I'm pretty optimist for now !

As everything in the interior has to be done, I will not be ashamed to do some some little upgrades like
- dash like 13105 with analogue gauges,
- rolls royce style picnic tables
- leather seats and ceiling like 13221
- rear windows conversion (if you know used ones...I will ask to Puddleduck as soon as I have the car)

The body color will change but I'm not sure to paint it in its original color, I would prefere a dark blue with a grey or magnolia interior.
I hope I will not shock someone with my upgrades, of course if the car was original I wouldn't change nothing but as it is in really bad shape...

Ok, so now you know everything, I'll be glade to discuss with you !

Oups, I would like you to excuse me for my english as I'm not practicing a lot !

Cheers !
Arnaud

Many thanks to both of you for your messages.

The first step will be to get out all the trim from the car, check the mechanic & take out all the american emission system, repair the driver's floor, I will have some "little" work on electronic Wink and to locate a pair of rear electrics windows with their frames and motors (I would prefere to find used ones but I will also ask to AM).

BTW, I have two XJS in my garage so I'll will check the common parts and see if I can add some to your list !

A little update about 13280

All the mechanic has been checked and some electrical parts are back to life !

If some of you have spare parts, I'm looking for a right hand sunvisor, a rear map light (one has a broken switch), a rear handle and one of the 2 clips that goes on the rear handles, I asked to Naomi from puddleduck but she can't find for the moment these parts...

As the interior was dark brown, I have decided to change the headliner in tobacco leather

And I have started to clean the seats, I will have to tint the left one to match the original color...

As a reminder, it was like this...

Fourth Hide/Skin...

By the way I'm starting to look at a new color, does anyone know if it is an orginal color and in this case the color name and/or code of 13173 ? That would be really helpful !

Arnaud

13173 was originally Sandringham Green but I understand in 1990 Works Service changed it to Old English Pewter. I don't have the code but someone else might?

Thank you Vincent ! Smile

I spent something like 5 hours only on the driver's door (most of the pain was to remove the old paint without deteriorating the leather) but the result is really great !

I will let the woods to this guy who is doing great restorations and who is in Paris area

Thank you Peacorp ! Smile

I did a break with the interior as I'm waiting for some parts so I have decided to get out the rear end to fix it and paint it back in black. But before, I had to do something with the exhausts...

Argh...Interesting...

Then, after some welding, the new trims are 5cm shorter but much more wider
