For those travelling from the UK what route are you going to use?
One option is the Portsmouth to St Malo ferry overnight on Thursday returning on the Monday morning.
Ideas?

I had originally thought that we would cross Newhaven to Le Havre but as that crossing route is now not done I now favour crossing via the tunnel on the Thursday, driving about halfway and then stay at a little hotel on route.

I think this will be nicer and more relaxing than spending a night on a channel ferry.

Has anyone else got another route suggestion?

Yes, Honfleur is a very pretty place to spend a night.

I do have a client who owns a property in Deuville and he is checking the current reservations to see if I could use the place. If so, then as the property can sleep 6 he is agreeable to offer the place to anyone else who would like to stop over to and from the Lagonda meeting.

I will let you all know when I hear back from my client.

I have just heard from my client that his house is not available over the Lagonda Festival dates as he has just taken a 2 month booking for the house for the whole of August & September.

I will be staying in Hermanville, near Caen on the beach, the few days before the LagondaFest at my friend Thierry's place there. Let me ask him if he has room for a few more Lagondist.

Vincent

Thank you for the suggestion. The memorial certainly does look like a worthwile place to visit on route to the festival.

The latest from Sandra:

For now our "Lagonda Dreams Land 2011" is becoming reality and we have to start booking the hotel rooms and différent things we will do
during that weekend in September.

A rate for a couple is 1300 euros standard
and for single 900 euros
Some of you asked me for deluxe service room or a suite with sea view:
-1600 euros double sea view
-1850 euros deluxe double sea view
-2300 euros deluxe suite sea view

I am at your disposition for all your questions.
have a nice day,
Kind regards
Sandra

Maybe it would be a 'driver alone' event... Sad

If Francis is singing, prepare your umbrellas !

Not for the singer, but for the Britany's climate !!!! Wink
