I like your style! Very Happy

Yes it is a car that will get you emotional. In June of 07, when I brought my Lagonda to a mechanic for service and he ended up crashing my car backwards in a wall... I got very depressed. this also affected me in my live (outside my pation for cars). It really took a part of my life from me.

Two months afterwards my father passed away. He loved that car. He really enjoyed riding in it. I would have brought his ashes to his resting place in my Lagonda but I couldn't because of that asshole...The car was still in the shop being repaired.

I greeved by driving like a maniac to Florida to pick a parts car (Lagonda 13423 it I recall well) for 4 days non stop back and forth. less then a week after he passed away.

Car will get you emotional. Specially if you love them...

Francis

Ross/Francis
I know exactly what you mean although my car is not at all pristine, and I am sure there are others on this forum who feel the same way about their cars.

You guys are so right. These wedges have a 'toxic' effect on us all. I only owned 13436 for a few months, about 10 years ago, and there hasn't been a day since when I haven't thought about getting another Lagonda, looked online or visited this site/forum. Not a day. Passion has turned to obsession a long time ago. But I am probably sane compared to some of you guys Laughing

I take this opportunity to thank Roger for keeping this community going. It makes for truly heartwarming reading.

Regards to all.

The worth thing about the conversion is that Newport Pagnell had just fixed the digital dash when I sold the car, and it was working perfectly!
I am bent of getting a S4 at some point... Then again, I have been saying that for a long time now. Patience, patience...

RHD would be better, but i'd consider a LHD. My problem has more to do with the niggling thought that although I could afford to buy one... Can I really afford to run one ? (that is, keeping a decent condition as opposed to skimping on maintenance). I am well aware of the odd saying... If you have to ask 'how much', you probably cannot afford it. Laughing
