Most of "non-ASTON" parts are coming from Jaguar (mainly XJS 5.3 V12),
but also from other BLMC cars ( Rover/Land Rover/Triumph...). I found some at VW AUDI and Harry told me some gaskets were from PEUGEOT...
Some switches are from FORD...
I am now busy to list the "donators" cars and what they gave to the subject of our children's dream. I hope to achieve a first list before end of year. Very Happy

Yes! Alternator, starter, control box all from Mopar (Chrysler) and very cheap.

I changed all 3 of them for about $CAN500.- installed!!!

Front brakes, caliper and pads are from Jaguar XJ6. The rear braking calipers are modified XJS and the rear rotors are custom. The pads for the rear (including the parking brake) are from the Jaguar XJ-S.

Hi you guy's, remember the Q about the heater air vent ?

It is a omega shaped custom made part ,spotwelded from 2 pieces of steel
and inserted with 2 strips of aluminium, so no donor on this.
Though they did steel side vents and mirror from landrover and interior lights from (sd 1 )rover

The air vents of my car are made of genuine plastic ! I didn't found aluminium or welded part on. Maybe the supply of this part depended on what they found in the boxes when mounting the car ? Laughing

aston martin has 1 (one, uno , één) wiper motor left in stock at a whopping 400 £ !!! when this one is sold they ask you to send your old one in and will get it refurbished. So I did not buy it Smile
secondhand ones go for 200£ but i found a local company who refurbishes them so i have send mine over to them. will keep you informed. In the meantime Rain-X helps me continue driving 13171 even in this storm. have a nice day Smile

Late E-type JAGS could be the donators of this part ( to be confirmed ), but surely not XJ or XJS.

Since I am planning to come to Europe with Alvira next summer, If you need any of the Chrysler parts, IE Alternator, Starter or control box, I could take a few of each (rebuild for the alt at under $200.- and starter at under $200.-, control box comes only new at a whapping cost of $45.00) to bring to you. No tax and no transport cost...Just a drink at the Lagondafest 2008 Very Happy Very Happy

Cheers Francis!
I hope to drink a "Duvel" or "Triple Westmalle" with you soon...

for the rest : The wipermotor which commands the popup lights seems to be coming from early E-type Jags ( 6cyl), and the wipermotor for the wipersblades is at 90 % sure coming from E-type V12 (that's what my mechanic coming from an independant Jag seller told me today, to be confirmed...On the XJS and XJ6 the system worked with cables, so we don't find it on the Lag'

and I work on a list of "other make" parts for Lagondas.
Not so easy, and it takes a lot of time to present something professional, with AML and other makes right part numbers (and prices?)!
I hope a first list will be achieved in april!
No I don't hope, I promise !
