The owner of 13150 asks:

"Do you by any chance know of an alternative to the £71.24 by pass hose part number 05.17116, there must be something else out there that fits nicely but doesn't cost such an outrageous price? I thought of Samco hose but maybe there's a standard hose of another vehicle that fits???"

Anyone have an answer for him? Vincent, Harry?

Thanks

Is there a pic available ?
Or a drawing ?
On my car and on the car of Francis we've placed some hoses from Renault Kangoo and from Renault Trucks, but I can't find the piece just with the part number. Sorry !

This is the by pass hose off the water pump for carb cars with rear air con.
It is shown in the Parts Manual under Section 1.4A Engine Water Pump & Sprockets.

Does that help?

We've cut one of a Kangoo to put on Francis' Alvira, but that's not satisfying because I already found a crack in it now when checking before answering. I mean the Aston part , as expensive as it is, is the solution because cooling is the weak point of the car, and may cause more than 75 £ damage.
