Hi Bernard & Vincent

Can you please let me know what rooms are available.

For the Chateau du Lac we would ideally like one of the Great rooms with a double bed and a lake view.

For the Brugge hotel are we all making our own choice for which hotel and, in effect, splitting the group up for that last night?

Keith

Keith,

As Bernard booked 20 rooms at 'tuilerieen', I propose and suggest the firsts who are booking to choose this hotel.

I understand it wouldn't be pleasant to split the group, but the 3 hotels are not more than 500 meters far from each other ( at least I think so if I have a good look on the map. ) Very Happy

To go along with your comments Keith, I also think that splitting the group would be anticlimactic. Let's explore possibilities:

If we are 30 parties (couples or singles, I will call the usage of one room a party) We all stay in Genval at the same hotel. Do we have the possibility of more rooms if more parties show up?

For the second night, if we are 20 parties, we can all stay at the tuilleries provided that the cost extra for that hotel is ok for all.

If we are more then 20 parties, we need to dispatch to other hotels. Where will the Saturday evening event be? at The Tuilleries?

Can we be flexible with the number of rooms in Bruges?

What is the travel distance from Genval to Bruges about 132 kms?

Any ideas to keep the group together?

Francis

Hi Vincent

That's fine by Val & I. Can you kindly, therefore, reserve us a double bed room on the canal side of the hotel.

Please et me know the amount I need to pay you and I will either send you a cheque or pay you via BACS, whichever you prefer.

Many Thanks For Your Help.

Hi Francis

I beleive that you are right about the distance from the Chateau du Lac to Bruge being approx 130kms, around 1 &.1/2 to 2 hours easy cruise.

Bernard, Vincent

Have you invited Dr. Jacobs? As I remember he is from Belgium but he lives in Switzerland, too. He has a lovely car!
Our new German friends have been invited too? Mr. Mager was very interested to attend, too
How about Rodney Howell?

For my part, I would like to have a double room and in Brugges in the hotel Tuileries. Let me know when and where to pay.

Regards

Zoran

Dear Vincent & Bernard,

Please count Dad & I in on LagondaV8 2009, Not sure if The Lovely Mimi will attend due to work kids etc, etc...

But White Lightening (my car) will be there, and I have a Prize to give out... "The White Lightening Cup, for Restoration, Renovation & Innovation" for anyone who's gone through the pain, suffering, and financial ruin of having stuff done on their Wedge ! It's to be a wandering cup, given back every year and then bestowed on a worthy winner for the next year...

All the best,

Ossi.

to all, both the Chateau du lac and The Tuilerien can handle more than 20 parties so no problem here, Very Happy We booked 20 rooms sofar but can adapt it to the final number. The distance is 1hour drive but we will make a stop along the road to regroup. There will be a roadbook , gps and tel nrs information so nobody can get lost and it will be the only "long" trip that weekend so we have more time to socialize. Shocked Roger, it would be nice if you forward the invitations to everybody you can think of Smile Laughing . For the moment we only need to, know the number of rooms so please give us this information this week, payment will not be necessary before the end of the month. If there is any food you don't eat , also inform us as we will make this all in (rooms, excursions, lunch/dinner,...). Looking forward seeing you all in august, best regards, Bernard and Vincent

Thanks guys,
I apreciate the nomination in Alvira's name.

Yes she went thru a major overhaul, that is not yet fully finished, it never is, but she is looking forward to comming over to Europe to meet all of her sisters.

I just came back from Quebec City about 15 minutes ago for the weekend with Alvira. It was her first road test since I have her (3 Years) and she performed remarcably well! a round trip of 600 kms!

I will post some pictures on a new topic if you care to see her in Quebec City.

Bernard, as far as reservation goes, I did send a message on this chat, can you confirm that you have me counted in the room selection and hotel selection in Bruge?

Francis

Ossi

It would be unforgivable if the long suffering & lovely Mimi were not able to attend. Surely you can get something sorted out so that she can come, as it will not be the same without her.

Re your special award - how are you going to decide on the winner, is there going to be a vote?

Just an idea:

May be Vincent and Bernard you could produce a "flyer" in PDF format for the event with all details and send it to Roger, Michael, Sieghard and me and we could distribute it to all Lagonda-lovers from our databases? We could reach some "sleepers" and have a maximum possible attendance?

Bernard could you possibly post a list who has definitively booked a room with you?

Thank you

Zoran
