You need to figure out which seat is sending the wrong signal so do as below the tests for each seat.
The odds are it will be the passenger seat as there is a sensor in the squab that should only allow the sign to come on only if the seat is occupied AND the seat belt is not used.
Check that the sensor in the seat squab is connected - two further bullet connectors in addition to the spade connectors for the seat motors. This is the style for later digital dash and CRT cars, early digital dash are different.
Also check that the two wires to the seat belt buckle are connected, that connector should be just under the carpet at the base of the buckle stalk.
If all seems to be OK, short the two wires to the seat squab sensor and slot the seat belt into place, see if this puts the light out - if it does, there is an issue with the squab sensor and it may be simpler to just leave the wires shorted together with a permanent insulated connection.
If the light is still on, also short the buckle connector and if the light goes out, it would seem to be the buckle at fault.
If the light stays on and you have both seats test shorted as above, you may (or may not) have AUDIT computer problems.....
