Good article - and talking up the value of our cars!

The only point I disagree with is about the maintenance and repair. But then maybe David Marks should be our little secret? - or he will never have the time to work on our cars!

Still more talk of unreliability of early cars. It would be interesting to know from actual owners how the electrics is performing these days, rather than a perpetuation of the same story.

My 1982 Rolls-Royce has almost as much electrics but has been less reliable. I never hear electrics mentioned in a R-R review / buyers guide etc. The speedo in the Silver Spirit is electronic too - although it looks like an analogue / mechanical drive. Mine failed earlier this year, my Lagonda ones never have.

My Lagonda electrics are pretty good, and I think generally in a better state than when they left the factory. Surely that must be the case for many cars now?

About the electronic dash, the worst fit is the CRT, complicated to understand but easy to repair when you've understood how it works...

And yes, you don't need to get back to Newport Pagnell for servicing your Lagonda...

My electrics are fine thanks to the Marks'.
It is telling that AML offer to rip out the original dash and to adulterate the car with analogue!
