In the centre of the wheels there is the name plate "Lagonda".
How is this fixed on the wheel?
On one wheel it came off today, and beneath was just something like grease?! |

It is not the pepperpots. It is the disc, I think second version.
The part which has come loose hs no clips is just "plane". May be the clips have broken? |

The CRT cars have wheels with a large central disc that covers the wheel nuts.
In the centre of this is the Lagonda badge.
This badge is a plastic disc that simply glues into place into a shoulder milled into the central raised (black covered) rim.
This aluminium rim is just glued into the centre of the wheel disc but is also machined to be a very tight fit.
The black coloured ring corrodes quite badly and will just force the badge disc out as it expands.
The grease that you see is, particularly if it is a front wheel most likely sprayed out from the wheel hub.
You will need to clean the central ring thoroughly and carefully and then glue a new (or old if you still have it) disc back into place.

David, that is what it looks like! I have seen no corrosion, and yes, it is the front right. And yes I stll have it!
What glue would you recommend?
Thank you! |

We use a two pack epoxy glue and bond it from the rear as this way it reduces the risk of the glue spilling over the outer edge and being visible.

2 components glue or silicone ( easier findable ), the result is the same. _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! (FRONT 242)
