What a fantastic weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations and thanks to Siem, Harry, Truida and Elena who gave us a truly wonderful and memorable event with their personal attention and dare I say it 'crazy Dutchness'!
We had a great time and as usual did not want to leave.
We hope everyone got back home safely.
Please feel free to post your pictures here or send them to me on a cd/dvd and I will do it.
Anyone got a video clip of Nicole singing 'Windmill in Amsterdam?'?
(more later)

The song. No not Duffy or Windmill in Amsterdam.
LAGONDA V8 2010 - 20/23 Aug - THE NETHERLANDS
Lagonda lovers
(melody Wild Rover)
Refrain
We are Lagonda lovers, rom – pom – pom – pom
So addicted we are
To that grand design
Of our beloved car.
A car of his dreams he was looking for years
But all that he saw really nothing came near
In the midst of bad taste, there shone a light so bright
He saw this Lagonda, it was love at first sight
Refrain
He bought it on impulse for a nickel and dime
On driving it home he never felt so fine
Proudly steering a classic, unaware so far
Of the typical habits of an English car
Refrain
Some readings on the dash are totally blank
It just would appear there`s a whole in the tank
The airco is broken, the engine gets hot
But who gives a heck cause you take that whole lot
Refrain
In august we travel abroad and we meet
To gather our cars in a remarkable fleet
We stay fine hotels and we wine and we dine
We talk `bout our cars and we feel so fine
(slower) ..... And we drive this fine car till the end of time.
(Lyrics by Siem) |
