Hi there,
as you might remember, I'm in the process to get 237 back on the road. Now, unfortunately there is a chip in my windshield that German TÜV would not accept. So I have to replace my windshield. Sad
Does any of you have one or know where I can get one?
Thanks a lot!

Hi, is it not possible to have that chip filled in at a glass
specialist like carglass or so ?
Might save you some 3000 euro. Crying or Very sad

I know it's possible to make a batch of for example 10 pieces, based on an old ( broken) one. But this could be on subsription because the costs are about 5/6000 €…

I had one made by Pilkington in the UK about 4 years ago, from memory it was about GBP1000. The freight and clearance costs to Australia were about the same so all up cost me 3500 Australian dollars / 2500 US dollars. Im sure the shipping and customs costs to Germany would be significant,
cheers

You can buy it from Pilkington in Gelsenkirchen (now NSG).
It will be problematic to get the correct shadeband (PVB film)

Sorry, I meant Bochum, not Gelsenkirchen.

Thanks for your reply.
I am in discussion with some glass specialists, whether it can be filled.
Normally not due to bad position of the chip. But we'll see... Wink
