Question:
There are more and more zones throughout Europe where we are not allowed to enter with our Lagondas. Too polluting.
Are there any zones like that in Netherlands?
E.g. I wanted to visit Köln on my trip to Holland, but it seems that I am not allowed to enter the city with the Lagonda.

As I know in Belgium, you are not allowed to drive through Brussels and Antwerp with a Lagonda. I don't know in Germany or in Netherlands.

In France you need to get a Crit'Air for Lyon, Paris, Lille… Lagonda is considered as 'vehicule de collection' then no application

https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/

For Younger cars,it costs about 5€ ( 68 € fine if you don't get it) but you can drive everywhere except when peaks of pollution.

I did some research and briefly: It is a mess! And the mess is even bigger if you are a foreigner.

In France there is no national solution, but regional. E.g. Grenoble: There is no exception for collector cars.

In Germany and some parts of France the collector cars have an exception rule if you can prove that it is indeed a collector car. But for foreign cars there is no strict rule how to prove the status is collector car.

Belgian oldtimer federation is angry about the situation too, because rules are depending from where you live… ( Flanders, Brussels or Wallonia).

Dimitri was right when deciding to live in UK !

Actually, I have never heard of a foreigner to be checked on pollution level with their car here in Germany.
Simple rule for collector cars in Germany: If it's more than 30 years old (and more or less original) it's a collector car. Should be true for most ever Lagonda.
Every pollution level restriction does NOT apply to collector cars here in Germany.

Usually you should not have any problems. (Can't guarantee though... Wink)

Thanks Freddi
But I have read reports of Swiss drivers who have been fined in Germany recently.

Dear Lagonda lovers,

With only 3 weeks to go to our Lagonda Festival Shocked it is about time all of you open up your bonnets and start looking at your engines Very Happy
Get your fluids checked en start cleaning and polishing your car.

We, Harry and I, have been checking our schedules and routes we want to drive with you. Everything looks fine so far.

For those who are already thinking what to wear and pack: remember that Dutch summers are very similar to English summers.
Although we had to survive a tropical heat last week, in Holland it might just as well rain in August, so be prepared Smile
