Hi all,

I haven't posted on here before, but thought I'd share with you some photos of our Lagonda which has recently been restored. We acquired the car from a gentleman at Seal International in Bradford, in 2012. The car has had the digital dash replaced with an analogue Aston Martin version whilst in the possession of the previous owner. I've considered putting it back to original with a digital dash, but unsure of the cost implications and availability; any ideas?

She was looking lovely anyway, but we decided to have her detailed to remove any paint imperfections - swirls/scratches. It doesn't come cheap (took 5 days), but was well worth it in my opinion. I used a company called sports car protection.

I'm always amazed at how well the car runs and how quickly it turns over. She fires up on the button, every time, with no hesitation at all!

Kind Regards

Alex

Here's some photos,

Hi Alex,

Thanks for posting!

A very nice looking Lagonda indeed. Red is such a great color for the Lagonda.

Personally I wouldn't convert the car back to the original CRT setup. That analogue conversion is the best I have ever seen - Looks great! Done by AML Works Service ?

Do you know if your car was used by AML for press and advertising photos when new ?

-We have tried to identify this one for years:

Maybe Roger have something to add ?

Best regards,

Soren

Hi Soren,

thank you for your reply and compliments! I agree, the red paint/cream interior colour combo really works well.

The dash, I believe, was done by AML works, yes. The quality of the conversion is great - you just wouldn't know the difference, unless you knew what was meant to be there.

The car looks remarkably similar to the AML press car. I love the diamond cut alloys on the press car - I've been tempted to have the wheels diamond cut, as I'm sure they should be this way.

This particular car has only been used sparingly all its life; it's covered just over 13,000 miles.

Would there be a way of contacting Aston Martin to find out what the chassis number is, of the press car as shown on your link, Soren?

Many thanks again,

Alex

Thanks Alex,

Actually I believe the diamond cut / polished wheels disappeared around chassis no. 13439:

- Sorry I haven't updated the online gallery since January 2015. But I do have an update with around 20 additional cars coming up.....

Best regards,

Soren
