I am in the process of correcting / removing the wiring butchery from my car, and use the 1981/82 wiring diagram I have as a reference. It is the easiest to use since it is annotated with the wire numbers on the diagram. It is actually more ‘loom schematic’ than wiring diagram, but is nevertheless very useful.

In the process of understanding the wiring I have found a number of errors and thought this was the best place to record them. As I find more in future, I will post them here. The first number is the item reference, as found either on the diagram or in the workshop manual, other numbers are wire numbers.

22 - washer pump - wires 41 / 42 - diagram shows 41 (light green/black) goes to fan relays - (feed). wiper stalk (110) shows 41 also - these should be 42 (green).

43 - starter motor - solenoid wire is 51 (incorrectly labelled 142)

95 - Aircon loom, snap connector 95 (left one) wires are: 173, 174, 175 and 157 provides feed (157 is obscured/incorrect)

108 - indicator flasher unit, is this 355? Also listed on LH seat motor. I think the seat is wrong. 355 is fed from a join to 370, also not shown.

112 - dash warning lamp connectors - far left wire is 370 (incorrectly labelled 307)

123 - auto-lock relay - yes, that is a break between the coil and contact (ground) not a repro error!

129 - RH snap connectors, forth connector, wires are 291, 322, 323, 324, 325 (last one is incorrectly labelled 324)

129 - RH snap connectors, fifth connector, wires are 290, 315, 326, 327, 328 (326 is incorrectly labelled 236)

99 - screen demist microswitch - wires 178 and 173 are the wrong way round.
70 - aircon harness plug - wires 77 and 157 are connected together.
101 - A post max aircon (blue) switch is missing a connection to 157 (sensor string into programmer) and a ground.
