The Weber/Marelli system is pre-OBD. It is basically the same (or an earlier version of the) system used on the Sierra Cosworth, Ferrari F40, Lancia Intagrale etc. For more info see this website: http://www.bigturbo.co.uk/

AML used a test set called the Unitester for the 585 engines which had AML part number 694618. I think this was a pretty basic thing, the main purpose of which was to set the throttle position sensor.

When the system evolved to the dual ECU setup on the Virage, the tester was called the IAW Car Tester.

Both of these test sets plug into the EFI wiring loom after you unplug it from the ECU and so they don't test the ECU function.
