This is Ruby. Nicole's 1969 buggy. Rarely used. Shame really.

Had this brand new in the family since 1965. Started restoring it on and off over 25 years .
2014 the year of down-sizing means finishing it asap

Hi,

Thanks for all the comments - it is an amazing machine, almost beyond a car in some ways.

Yes, Vincent, it is ex USA but only the quad headlamps and side reflex lamps remain from that and I have decided I prefer the front lamps now they are glazed in with the lamp covers.

I have a complete conversion kit including another set of glass covers but doubt I'll ever fit it.

The original 3.0L engine and auto box have been changed for a 5 speed manual box and - a Merak SS engine which helps the performance somewhat............

Not a common conversion and with Merak SS cars increasing in value, it is perhaps unlikely many more will be dismantled and the engines used as such donors in the future.

Enough of that, it is a Lagonda forum after all!

David

As some of you know, my son ( who is as crazy as I am ) decided to buy a 'salvage' early DB9. The car was overfloated in october 2015 in Antibes in France.

Leather intact but in need of softening care, car in good shape but with a lot of electrical problems. Working on it some hours a week since beginning of august, the engine and gearbox are running since today. I'll pic the story of the adventure till ending step by step.
