Hi there!

the Lagonda Owners Manual offers in Section E - servicing, page 24 several checks for the vacuum switches.
There are 4 conditions that can be checked. I did this, but when checking condition No.3 the gauge did not show the required pressure. Unfortunately the servicing manual does not say what to do if the pressure is not in order. Maybe anyone had the same problems?

Are the solenoids operating? Condition 3 is where the micro-switch below the air box has just been released, and so the manifold vacuum is now connected to the vacuum diaphragm. In this case you should see vacuum with the RH gauge connected.

With the engine off but ignition on you should hear the relay/solenoid click when you just press the accelerator.

Behind the A and B vacuum solenoids, there are vacuum pipes and two T pieces to connect the vacuum to the A,B,C parts. Are these ok?

The solenoids are operating, but in Condition 3 the pressure is not as it should be according to the Lagonda Owners Manual.

The pressure should be: left hand gauge - 0,14 bar
right hand gauge - 230 mm/Hg = 0,3 bar
The pressure is: left hand gauge - less than 0,14 bar
right hand gauge - 0,4 bar

The vaccum pipes are ok, I just bought (and built in) new vaccum solenoids.

LH gauge should show positive pressure generated from the air pump for 3.

I can't tell from your readings which is positive and which negative. The RH gauge should only ever read negative or zero.

I thought that all gauges should show negative pressure!

Again:
Condition 3 according to Aston Martin:
The pressure should be:
left hand gauge - 0,14 bar
right hand gauge - 230 mm/Hg = 0,3 bar

So the left hand gauge should show 0,14 bar positive pressure?

It is not very clear from the manual, but where it talks about mm mercury it is negative, and where it talks about lbs/sq in - psi - it is positive.
