Great collection Roger!
Also my 1:18 Lagonda has arrived (thanks to you ). I'm very happy with the model, but it's not flawless. Mine had one wing mirror broken off, the sunroof surround was a bit loose as well as the logo on the radiator. Also the rear window is not a perfect match. Most of these things are really minor, and some were quite easily fixed.
I was offered another one at a great price, so a golden version is coming too now. I'll post pictures as well.
Anyway, here are the pictures:

First things first:
A big thank you for Roger to make this Forum happen even though without his fault it is the second crash I noticed. It must be a nightmare and so much of work to make it work again! Thank you Roger!
I guess I am the other "mad" guy, because today I ordered the other 5 1:18 models from China... Should be a christmas present for me. I will post pictures when they arrive!

And there is this book:
"Making Model Cars" by Peter Fairhurst. There is a sketch how to make your own Lagonda model car! My only hope to catch up with Roger's collection!
Let us see whether I will be able to make some Lagonda's during the hollidays with my girls!

In true England Manager & Chancellor style I must accept responsibility for the loss of the Forum (again!).
Glad to hear you have invested in the 5 other 1/18 models. I am sure you will like them. Can you let me have their numbers, and the numbers of your 2 black examples for the record? Hendrik & Zagato can I have the numbers of your models too? Anyone else buy one?
ps. I also have the book. A bit basic!
pps. Mad? Let's not forget Harry! |

Harry is not "mad", he is an artist, keeping the cars running!
I have to aknowledge that the only way to keep a little bit up with Roger's collection is this:
This is my first attempt to built a Lagonda model by my own! Promise this is not the last attempt and now I know what material I have to use!

I received my second 1/18 Lagonda. This one is in Gold. It came in perfect condition, but the gold is quite ehm... yellow gold. I'm doubting which one to keep now. Anyway, here are some pictures. For the ones who consider buying one of those models: it's a very special model, and quite nicely finished. I would definitely recommend getting one!
Roger, for the statistics: my numbers are 28 (Gold) and 29 (Sky Blue).
