Alvira was taken out in anger today!
Vincent took her out to warm her up for my up coming trip to Europe. He drove her 120 kms, at times at speeds of 180 kms... I am proud of my girl!
The A/C lever grafted from an early 80's Cadillac works fine and, as it turns out, is the original part used by AML, for any further info on it, please contact me or Vincent.
The wipers issue is to be solved tomorrow and of coarse, the car was repaired and just had a complete body strip repaint.
Tuesday, I will drive her from Tournai, Belgiun to Murten Switzerland.
I heard good things about that place so I intend on spending a few days there to see what the fuss is all about!
More later once I get my hands on my baby!

On the Cadillac lever, the 'defrost' function doesn't exist, avoiding then to get hot air on the windscreen while you get fresh one on your face... _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! (FRONT 242)

Thank You Roger,
Hopefully the weather will cooperate, the roads will be empty, Alvira will run like a charm and gas will be free
Oh! and no french highway tolls too would be nice...
It's always nice to dream...
One more thing, if the french government places mirrors alongside their highways, that would make me happy too.
You ask youself why?
Well, this way, with mirrors linning the sides of highways, I coudl look at myself driving Alvira at speed!

Never mind with the rain !
With help of BBQ 13169, the wipers are now alright...
And I have pics of you driving at high speeds in our Dutch trip _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! (FRONT 242)

Vincent,
What did you use from BBQ? the whole arm or just the clip at the end?

Sorry guys, the announce was too fast !
If it's right it comes less or nearly no hot air on the screen when driving less than one hour, air becaomes hot after driving more than one hour.
So, if the command is now operative ( airco didn't work on Alvira ); we didn't find a solution for the hot air on the screen ( as on most cars )...
But the paint on Alvira is great ( at least to my opinion ). _________________ Welcome to Paradise ! (FRONT 242)
