Well I guess that no-one has any experience of these Permabags, which is not a good sign.
I have been speaking to the Rob at Air Flow again regarding the Air Chamber Units and he has been measuring a smaller 5,200mm unit he has on site. He says that it actually "bulges out" to around 5,400mm long when zipped up and the fan is blowing. He is 100% certain that although our cars are 5,283mm, this little "bulge" in the unit will be sufficient to accommodate my car, albeit very snugly. The bumpers of the car may well touch the front and the back PVC of the chamber but with the car cover on the car, I do not think that this will be a worry with regards to marking the cars bumpers. This length of chamber will then give me a reasonable access gap to get in and out of the silo so I am going to take a chance on his advice, (which he is backed up with a written guarantee), and try a unit out.
I can highly recommend Rob and his company Air Flow Limited to anyone who may be thinking of buying a chamber for themselves . Rob has been extremely helpful in offering advice and ideas in trying to solve my particular problem. He has also given me a good final price on a chamber. |

I should like to see the chamber in situ when you have it. Perhaps we can arrange something later? |

No Problem Roger. I will let you know when it is all set up and if it is successful then you will be very welcome to come and see for yourself. |

Today I have put up the 5.2 metre Air Chamber and the Lagonda does fit in the chamber....just.
My only concern is that the front and rear bumpers are actually in contact with the sides of the chamber, although I have yet to see it after the chamber has had a chance to re-inflate itself after closing all the sides up.
Can anybody please advise me if this contact of the chamber PVC against the vertical face of each of the front and rear bumpers, which are colour-coded painted to match the car, will have any adverse effect on them?
