FYI. Can I extol the virtues of David Marks Garages in Nottingham?
A small outfit which specialises in Jaguars, run by David Marks, who has a penchant for Lagondas and has worked on several cars in the UK & USA including my own.
David & his brother Robert an electronics engineer have developed a new computerised digital dashboard using modern and more flexible componentry to replace the old CRT arrangement which on some cars is suspect. They have also had new binnacle switch panels manufactured.
They can work on all of the dashboards as well as general servicing.

Roger - thanks for putting up the pics.
Vincent - 13380 came back from the welder on Friday PM - major surgery and looking very sorry for itslef. Can't wash it because of all the bare metal!
Spent the weekend getting it running again (and stopping!) and it is off to the paint shop next Thursday.
Hopefully back and looking smarter by the beginning of May and then all we have to do is put the interior back together and get the CRT's working............................
Hope I get a chance to put some miles on before Holland and see what else drops off!. |

I was at David's today.
IMHO David (with the assistance of his brother Robert on the electronics) is the master of Lagonda servicing in England with today 6 Lagondas in house for various jobs and one more off-site for metal/paintwork.
Always a pleasure to visit him and see work in progress. |

David is to be commended for getting his screwdriver out (unofficially) and for offering advice whenever needed on the Dinard trip. (Is there no such thing as a holiday for him at such meetings?) I must say I felt much more confident with him in our convoy.

Hear hear to that sentiment Roger.
I would like to say a HUGE thank you to the Lagonda Nurses, (as Sandra now calls them), and in my case it was David to our rescue. Without him being there in our convoy, it was likely that Val & I would not have made the meeting. Cheers Mate.
