Francis
I have searched the sportscar market website but cannot find the article.
If you still have it can you scan (Page 76) it and post it here or email it to me?
Thanks

The text reads like this:
S/N SCFDL01S7KTL13574 Black/Magnolia leather. Odo: 18,736 miles. Heavy black paint does not extend far into the door jambs, masking messy. Chrome factory alloys shod in new Avons. Interior distressed, seats dry with wear on front seats more extensive than milage suggest. Dashboard and console wood crazed and faded, but all instrumentation appears to work. Enginw bay diety but correct, aside from improvised ducting from airbixes to throttle bodies. No recent service evident. Cond. 3-. SOLD at $9,450.00
Donnated by the AACA Museum with little if any reserve price attached, this fright pig Lagonda did run. I was particularly amused by the seven digit odometer, since the years and relative frw miles were so unkind to this exemple. The buyer is a connaisseur af an unusual challenge, so perhaps it was slightly well bought as a curiousity but so few fright pigs really are anithing but well sold, even if they did cost $200 000.- new.

Soran,
the gabel price was probably $9 000.- and the $9 450.- price is after auction's commission, so real sales price.

Hello Francis & Roger
Yes 9.450 USD is very cheap
- Here is an article about 13574:
http://www.autoweek.com/article/20080314/FREE/122785613
Apparently donated to the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum (AACAM) in Hershey, Pennsylvania (www.aacamuseum.org). But a misfit due to its young age....
The only picture I currently have in the gallery is from that article. I believe it was Roger who contacted the museum to get VIN
Best regards,
Soren |
