On starting the car I am warned in a French accent:
'Attention Malfunction battery'

Then 'Ice Hazard' and 'lo ...

Incidentally the reason I needed to strip the doors was to replace a central locking motor.

I brought the old one to my local Opel dealer who identified it ...

Mine is a series 4 so there is no switch panel.
There is nothing obvious to remove to get your hand inside on this door card
Any suggestions?

The electric release is currently non operation - will check relay tomorrow.

The bonnet release pulls from the top down - with a cable located at each side.
One of the lugs has sheared off ...
