The XJS pump will only fit the fuel injected cars, it needs to be a pump from the carburettor 3.4L or 4.2L S11 XJ models with submersed pumps.

Yes, you will need to remove the wires from the terminal blocks and re assemble afterwards.
Take careful notes and pictures and disconnect the battery!
