I can answer my own question now, I pulled the E-Type off the hoist and bit the bullet re Lagonda.
It can be done and not too difficult.
First up drain the transmission.

Not to worry all of the mounts are fine its the bush in the extension housing that is causing the vibrations and odd clunk! Sorting that now. |

I'm aware of the ECU and location but assumed wrongly there was another pin.
Ill check all the vacuum pipes and go from there, none have been changed for probably 15 ye ... |

yeah mines injected so I do have the sensors, the cats are still on at the moment so I'll disconnect the sensors and go for a drive and see what happens. |

Hi Vincent,
what did you do with the lambda sensor leads, just tie them off somewhere?
I've removed the air pumps, mainly because one was seized and they serve no purpose now anyway,

Now the screens are in I should not that there is no "rubber strip" (confirmed with the guys at Aston Martin) and per Harry's note, just glue it in, so we did.

My windscreen guy was wrong, the U shaped rubber channel fits between the outer edge of the glass and the body and holds the trim in! So now we know that the glass will go in early next week. |
