 Subject: Dash fuse

| Message: On my '84 fuse number 8 in the centre console (4 amp quick-blow) went and took with it the mph/kph lamps & switch, the trip odometer, the clock, the radio tuning memory, and the ability to display in mph. All perfectly logical since they are all permanently powered items. Replacing the fuse it blew again immediately. The wiring diagram has that fuse originating at the speedo sensor. Disconnect the relevant dash multipug and it does not blow. Possible conclusion - one of the ICs went closed circuit - but which one? Anybody had this exact fault? | |
